Notes from Little Sister:

The Nyamasheke Hills washing station was started by Ndereyimana Louis - a coffee producer who, in addition to his farming, provided coffee seedlings to growers nearby. As his family grew, he decided to invest in processing and in 2017 began constructing Nyamasheke Hills Washing Station, in the Nyamasheke District. There are approximately 550 small farmers who bring their coffee to the washing station, many farms at the drainage basin of Kivu Lake and on the high mountains near Nyungwe national park. We’re finding this beautifully developed coffee to have a pleasant medium-mouthfeel characterized by raisin and honey, contrasted with bright cherry notes.
